The Met Gala is a magnet for the stylish and beautiful, who descend on the New York museum in all their finery.
This year the theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, corresponding to the exhibition of the same name which the party kicks off.
Taylor Swift, who is one of this year’s hosts, channelled the theme in a custom Louis Vuitton silver dress complete with rah-rah skirt and cut out waist, which she set off with a pair of black gladiator sandals and matching lippy.
Along with her newly dyed platinum locks, this ensemble signals a new edgier look for Taylor, a far cry from her usual style- we wonder if it’s here to stay?
